For people who want to watch movies in the upcoming days/weeks, you can totally ignore Twilight. I thought it was poor. I didn't read the book. But for those who did, they say the book is better. The movie was slow paced, lack of action, lack of plot. OMG. Wasted my time.

Transporter 3 was okay. I mean, there was slightly more plot to it.. But still.. How much plot is there when someone is driving around in a nice Audi?? I enjoyed it better than Twilight though.. BUT BUT BUT. I really cannot understand why they got the lead actress. ARE THEY BLIND? I don't know. She's not pretty. Not hot. Scary amount of freckles. I thought Hollywood movies are about nice-looking people. haha.. My friend was even joking that they had to cut budget.. If they needed a redhead, i think they can get the spiderman girl.. Kirsten Dunst if I'm not wrong.. She's not really pretty.. But still better.. haha.. I don't even think Dunst is a redhead in the 1st place.. lol.. nvm

Have been slacking all the time since Thanksgiving holidays started. And I mean ALL THE TIME.
Went to Great Mall at 12am.. lol.. But didn't buy anything in the end. There were so many people I found difficulty breathing. Walked around. Til my legs were tired. And eventually got home at 3am+.. lol..

Still haven't started on any serious work. Oh my oh my..

The bruise on my right shin still hurts. ><

Couldn't fall asleep yesterday. Luckily I have no school today..
I was so tired. But somehow, I was turning on my bed and was awake with my eyes closed.
Less than 1 month and school is over. Have things to do though. Worst one is the book review on Dangerous Nation. Is there a trick to do it without having to finish reading it? I read like 10 chapters now.. But I guess nothing much registered in my brain. I AM NOT A HISTORY PERSON.

Then geography presentation.. Hm.. Still wondering what to do for it.. Maybe something interesting like the SeaGen.. Need to prepare..

And I really would hope to put on abit of weight.. Have started eating my chocolates at a faster rate nowadays.. But still. SAME! ><

I really enjoy eating the green crispy mint M&Ms.. :)

Really looking forward to going back Singapore..

Kinda finalized my application to UC.. Then lol. I lost my password and username of my USC application.. Emailed and called to get my password.. So troublesome. All that For.. Please Press 1.. etc.. Took so long. And at first, they got the wrong JASON LAU. There's not many JASON LAUs around lor! I almost filled the application of another person! haha

Well, got it back. WROTE them down. So I wouldn't panic if I forget it again. HA.. Thanksgiving Holiday soon!!! yesyesyes! REST TIME!

YAY!!!! BOUGHT TICKETS! Going back to singapore on 23rd Dec. Then go to hong kong on 15th Jan and come back on 25th Jan..

School starts on the 26th.. Exciting isn't it? haha..

Ticket costs a whopping 1639 USD..

Went up by abit.. but ohwell.. I'm so looking forward to going back..

Have been so busy doing personal statements for UC applications and scholarships.. Then the online application for the UCs and I'm considering USC.. I think i'll apply for that too..

F.Y.I. UC is University of California which includes UCLA, UC Berkeley etc..

WOW.. it's been a long time since I posted something in detail. Had been so busy the past few weeks. Well, over the last few weeks, I've OF COURSE, gotten my homework and assignments done. Also, I've got a few new things.. And I've also broken a few things..

New thing 1: Ipod Touch.
It was given to me from my cousin. She bought an Apple desktop comuputer and the offer is a free Ipod touch and a printer. She gave it to me! YAY!
I have been using it for some time now (since this post is delayed) and it's not bad! Got some applications and have been playing with them. It was even put into good use in my Geography lab class. Needed the converter of foot, km, miles.. Was doing a map thing.

New thing 2: 1999 Toyota Rav4
I was looking for a car. And at one of the auto repair shops of which the boss is a close friend of my aunt & uncle, there was initially a black 1998 TOYOTA AVALON. Tried it out and offered $3000. Didn't get it. Was sold to somebody else at $3500. So after a few more days, this Rav4 appeared at his shop. He said it belonged to a girl and she only bought it last year at $7500 and drove 3000 miles. I tried the car. Not bad. But it was a pity that it got hit at the front on the right. And I started to think of a reasonable price so as not to miss it like last time. Then I was dicussing with Anthony and it turned out that he knew who the car belonged to. Prairie! LOL.. So I called her up.. Got everything done. And I bought it for $5500, with me paying for the smog check. Have been driving to school since two Fridays ago.

This is where I park my car downstairs.

P.S. Gas is expensive. So if there's any kind soul who wants to help out. Pls contact me. HAHA.. KIDDING...

New thing 3: Headphones from Pius
He got his new stylo-custom-made ones. He gave his old one to me.

Broken thing 1: my headphones
The left side spoiled and it only funtions 50% (since the left side died).. haha.. I still use it for skype though.

Broken thing 2: Plastic phone protector
It is basically a plastic shell for my phone. I don't know how a protector itself can crack when it is supposed to PROTECT my phone.. But it did. I did not drop it. So I don't know why.

And I forgot to mention last time that I took photos with Man Utd trophies during my holidays.

School work load is increasing. But yet I'm slacking. I spent time watching some movies i downloaded even.

Political Science is a bore. But I amazingly got an A for the paper I did last time. It was really full of quotes from the text and little from myself. Well, I guess the teacher is a easy marker after all.

This semester is just so POLITICAL!!! Besides political science, I'm doing MORAL POLITICS for my English course. DARN. Got to analyse McCain's and Obama's speeches and write a paper?! I'm not even a politiics person. I tried my best. And well. Hope for the best.

Almost got my hands on a good second hand car. But someone else offered higher than me. AND DARN. Still no car for me. Still looking!!! Sad. Parents don't let me buy new car due to the super expensive insurance for a new and young driver like me.

Want to get a car soon.

WOW.. has been a really long time since i updated.. Hope whoever reads this thing didn't get the impression that Jason Lau is dead or something. I left Singapore, spent about a month in Hong Kong, eating and shopping and visiting and now I'm back in the US.

Let me try to recall some memories while i was in HK...

Oh.. i saw 李嘉欣 with her boyfriend one day.. My mum, me and my brother was going for a massage at Causeway Bay and we saw her coming out of the lift that we were going in. For those who don't know who she is, let me tell you. She's a former Miss Hong Kong. And i think she's still pretty. Not as tall as expected though. haha. She's probably nearing 40 by now.

Another memorable thing in HK is that we went to this Japanese restaurant for teppanyaki. Its at the IFC. Super high class and super expensive. Food was super nice. And I had the chance to cook. The chef was really funny. Talking to us while he cooks. Some times telling jokes.

   It was apparently Japanese beef with garlic. It was an easy thing to do.
Step 1: Place a slice of beef on the teppanyaki grill.
Step 2: Quickly get some garlice onto the metal spatula and put some at one end before the beef gets overcooked.
Step 3: Roll the beef with the garlic inside until it becomes a roll (duh!).
Step 4: Serve.

Quite a fun experience! haha...

Then there was a bomb hoax or something like that on the Olympic day 8th Aug 2008. A suspicious thing was found at the MTR station of causeway bay and police had to evacuate people from the station. A bomb disposal truck was at the scene just in case that it was a bomb. It was the first time of my life that I've seen one! There were lots of people around and cops too.

Was curious as me and my mum walked past. But at the same time scared cos we did not know what happened. Only found out later when we watched the news on TV.

And of course, as a Hong Kong citizen, I had the chance to watch the OLYMPICS! Went to watch the Equestrian event since Hong Kong is hosting that event.

     Was another good experience. Probably the only time I can be at an Olympic event. Well, I'm proud to say that I went to one. And I found the designs of the various sports very smart. Haha.. Watching the horses was really boring. Maybe cos I didn't understand much. Haha. Just imagine if I can watch something like Soccer.. haha..

Did stupid stuff with my brother while in HK too.

Pius took this right after his screwed haircut.. LOL.. LOL.. Mix & Match.. my eyes his mouth.

Went to Liven's place to play Wii.. The olympic game is so fun.. I like the archery.. And he's so lucky.. Moved house. Ok.. Moved to a higher storey rather. The view from his house is just amazing..

Also went to Macau.. Gambled in a casino the 1st time in my life. At MGM. Could have won more. Once i won 900 HKD. But darn. I was greedy. In the end, when I left the place, I ended up winning only 500 HKD.



Then the dinner at Robuchon was just fabulous. Check out Robuchon if you want. Ha.

    It's a really cool hollow potato chips kinda thing.. NICE!!!!

Then I saw a lame thing when i was walking along a street in Kowloon..
It was a small alley.. lol.. Pls click on it if you can't see the words clearly enough..

Then right before I left HK, I highlighted my hair.. With a green tinge in the front. haah

Well, I guessed its time to write something here.. Wow.. such a long time since I last wrote here.. haha.. 3 weeks? haha..

I've enjoyed my time in Singapore! Really. If not I wouldn't have not blogged in such a long time.. Haha.. Well, I shan't say much because I think that a picture is worth a thousand words.. So I shall just present some pictures..

First - Thailand trip I went with Uncle Dixon, Auntie Daphne and my family 2 weekends ago. Quite a fun trip.. Had some local food and went shopping.. Mostly window shopping for me since I didn't feel like buying.. Got myself a nice shirt and a pair of very nice pair of Lee's jeans in the end though.. I still remember the crazy taxi drivers there!!! OMG.. so exciting.. REVERSING in the middle of the road cos he missed the turn.. Cos we had 6 ppl, we needed 2 taxis everytime wherever we go. Then, one night...
The taxis driver were racing each other! With us as passengers in the respective taxis!!! OMG.. Crazy people.. Totally!! Going past RED LIGHTS and GOING AT UNBELIEVABLE SPEEDS.. Back to our Pathumwan Princess Hotel.. haha.. Hope I didn't spell it wrong..

So happy to be back in Singapore.

Although I had to clean up the house that has been out of electricity since god knows when and that has been abandoned since March.. Lots of dust. LOTS AND LOTS. Cleaned for like 2 hours and the house looks pretty good.
Dinner at Leisure Park. Tried the korean stall at the food court. Not bad. Bought some stuff at the supermarket and went home..

Today was a good day, hot day, and rainy night. Went out to mug and have lunch (only I ate though) with Alice and Elizabeth at Subway. Songs playing and noise. Found it hard to study.. Had lunch and treated them cookies. Then went to Raffles Hospital to meet my love. Like finally! Miss her so much!! Still as beautiful! Still the same! JUMPWALK!

Anyway, I thought it was quite cool for a hospital to have Coffee Bean..

Studied together at Mos Burger. Didn't expect that it will get so noisy. Hope you managed to study. Hope it didn't make you unproductive.. Sorry if it did. Need to find a good studying place real soon..

I shall say something about my Hong Kong trip also..

Went to get my HK I/C cos I turned 18. Need to get a new one. Added 'Jason' to my name. It will be done tomorrow. But I'll only get it when I get back. They collected my old card (below).. so sad.. ><.. I like the picture.

then I had 鸡蛋仔, my favourite snack in HK..
and that is me and pius in the lift. With me holding my 鸡蛋仔.. lol

Then there was an exciting part. I went to buy a 六合彩! My 1st time. Lol. Dad, Mum and me went to buy. Pius stood outside to wait. LOL. He still not 18 yet.

Finally back in HONG KONG!!!! yeah!!!! Ate some good stuff so far. But more nice stuff to go!!!

went to Jan Lam's concert yesterday. Super funny. As expected. But something I didnt expect is that I sat in the 5th row. Like so in front!!! Even Shawn Yue sat 7 rows behind. I saw people like 车婉婉, 余文乐, 吴君如, 农夫... Close range.. Nice people. Nice looking I mean. All his jokes, lousy gag, etc are just hilarious. Enjoyed them. Songs that he changed lyrics are so crappy that they are enjoyable.... Especially 2 of Eason's songs. Great lyrics.. lol..

Oh. And I got my contacts! No more blurry vision or specs!! Yay! The right is 200. Left is 175. Troublesome stuff though.. Clean and stuff. Nvm.. Watched the concert with the contacts.. Nothing wrong so far.

Just extracted my top right wisdom tooth. Cousin was great. 5-6 mins got it out already.. Don't know if it will hurt later.. Hopefully not...

anw.. Just took Math final.. Now still in scoo.. Waiting for 230pm to come so I can get over with exams and leave USA! haha..
Math was .... kinda lost.. guess I played too much the last few days.. Brain not working very well. I managed to get answers for all the questions in the end though.. Just don't know if they are all correct.. So.. er.. Yeah.. Should study for Stats now.. so I won't have that situation again..

Ona another note. I can't concentrate in Stats class.. Test can bring home... Also get 90. bleh.. stupid true / false questions again.. -6 marks. gosh. =(
